I was curious as to why white bread isn't recommended. I always hear people saying to eat brown.

Why is this?

There are numerous reasons one is the flour is not the best for the body. The way it's processed is another.

You could do a search on google to get a good health reason why.. Did you try that

No. any time i google foods it brings me to fat loss for women sites so i figured i'd ask the dungeon.

white bread is just the flour grinded so it loses all its nutrients, the flour is also bleached and is normally packed with additives and preservatives to make it last longer

brown bread goes throught the same process but some of the grinded material is put back iin to give it colour, it still better than the white bread though

the best and most recommended choice is multigrain or wholegrain bread

becarefull with wheat bread....sometimes its not really wheat its just brown. its best to buy it at a health food store. to find out if its really wheat you have to look at the ingrediants.....and look for fiber content

Fiber in your diet is good, suppresses your hungry and your body loves fiber.. Not to much but it keeps you regular.. I eat it and love the results.
