i know most of you guys in here are probably pretty strict with your diets and dont cheat so often. here's my problem; i try to eat clean, and it happens more often than not, but the trouble i run into is when i give into one of those temptaions and i end up eating garbage. aside from feeling like i should take a shower to wash off the shame, what are some of the things you guys do to get back on track? is it as easy as just getting back on the wagon, or do you cleanse? my real problem is...one cheat meal turns into 3 days of cheat meals. any ideas, besides not cheating.

I just cheated... mark it in the history books. I pm'd Chris to profess. I had 3 inches of a subway sandwich and 2 handfuls of almond bark. Sometimes I tease myself. Like I will have 1/2 of an almond bark pretzel and then don't eat anymore, because I know I can control it. I haven't had almond bark for over 1 year until a few days ago.

Bottomline: Blunt your sugary intake with fat before (slows down gi motility) so insulin release won't be so bad.

If you don't cheat for a really long time (months or years) everything will smell and taste so bad it will probably make you sick. The first few almond bark I about puked, after that I just threw them down.

I still can't/won't eat pizza, even the smell will make me sick, same with fast food. Your taste buds become desensitized so even the slightest bit of sat. fat, sugar, or sodium and you are going to taste it.

Hope this helps!

It depends on what you cheat with. If you are going to cheat feel happy about it. Don't go nuts with it like a 3 day binge.

Do a good hard workout and make up the difference. Or add an extra session of cardo, drink more water during the day.,

Cheat meals are going to happen.. You have to know how to correct them and move on.. It's ok to have a cheat meal.

Chris

yeah i feel ya...when i feel the urge to cheat, I just think of my fat, ugly disgusting neighbor...all i remember is her in her cutoff 5 star premium wranglers (similar to the ones Brett Favre wears) and cutoff harley-davidson shirt back in 1987 and i get sick....same method works during sex with a hot chick and busting prematurely!!...best advice i can give for now!

Just dont let it get to you... if its just an overall shitty meal... just do fat/protein meals for the rest of the day with slightly less calories then you would normally eat. If theirs time do an HIT session real quick and that should help with the feeling of disgust.

You need to designate something as a reward. The reason you are having cheat meals is because over your life you recognize cheat meals as a sort of reward. For everyone that goes a week without cheating on their diet, then eats one cheat meal to tithe them down, its a reward that they manifest.

Buy a nice cut of meat, make some shiskabobs, season them the way you like. Make your cheat meal not cheating. For me I don't really cheat that often, I have a really bland taste in general and prefer salty foods, which can run me into some problems.

I use popcorn as one of my carb sources, air popped popcorn, no butter though. Salt, hotsauce. And on CKD thats gonna help me work wonders.

Maybe you should try CKD for cutting if you are cutting, it really quells appetite.

Been busy with school. I'll definatly be posting from tommorow on, i'll be shifting my nutrition and training into the log I already have on the training log forum and put a link in the CKD thread to my training log thread, or maybe i'll make a new one.

But I will be posting one, and since I just realized that real mayo has no carbs, its game over for the diet, its going to be the easiest diet ever eaten by any man.
