Not too sure. But low calorie or light beers usually have reduced calories from one or two sources. The first being is that their carb values are lower and the second being that the alcohol content is reduced.

Either way, your going to be drinking the equivilant of watered down beer.

Typically any light beer is going to be low calorie, no fat in beer as well. Typically people get their beer bellies and bloated'ness from the things they eat while they're drinking, or if they drink "tap" or "draft" beer.

Just some facts to help:

Light calorie beer:

Calorie Example - Regular Beer
12 fl oz regular beer contains 145 calories.
If you drink ten beers a week, that's 1,450 calories per week.
Or 75,400 calories, per year

Better Calorie-Choice - Light Beer
12 fl oz light beer contains about 100 calories.
That's 1,000 calories per week; 52,000 calories per year.
Calories Saved
If you substitute light for regular beer in this way, you save 450 calories per week, or 23,400 calories, per year.

Weight Reduction Consequences of this Calorie Saving
23,400 calories per year is the equivalent of about 6.7 pounds of weight.

Calories per beer (12oz):

Amstel Light beer 93
Blatz Light beer 94
Bud Light beer 107
Busch Light beer 112
Carlsberg Light beer 112
Coors Light beer 105
Heidelberg Light beer 114
Keystone Light beer 100
Michelob Light beer 133
Miller Lite beer 97
Milwaukee's Best Light beer 99
Molson Light beer 109
Old Milwaukee Light beer 119
Old Style Light beer 114
Olympia Gold Light beer 70
Pabst Light beer 72

But the whole idea of drinking a beer is to get a little buzz right? Surely its not for the piss tasting flavor?
So if you drink lite, wouldnt you wind up drinking more just to get the effect? I think thats the whole marketing scheme behind lite beer, LOL!
I dunno Ive never liked beer, it all tastes like I would imagine piss tasting. Since I started focusing on my body I feel guilty even just thinking about drinking alcohol. Thats just me though. Im crazy enough I dont think I really need it anyways,

^ i agree with dee, might as well just drink regular beer... no shame in one or two every now and again. I'm a fan of rolling rock... maybe cause im a PA boy, drink up, just remember moderation in everything.

I must say I LOVE beer not for the effects of getting drunk but for the flavor. I really enjoy a nice pint. Guiness has a realitively low amount of calories for a dark beer. but as far as light beer goes miller lite only has 3.2 grams of carbs i think I know its 3.something. but if your drinking to get drunk ditch the beer and drink something else. I personally drink scotch, dirty martinies, or gin on the rocks. 0 carbs in straight alcohol

LOL! Yeah, I never understood the whole menthol thing. I guess they tried to make cigarettes taste better. Never could smoke either, that shit is nasty.
I just guess my taste buds are different. Ive tried a lot of different beers and can never get past the first sip. Makes me want to vomit
When I did drink I would have liquor. More flavors in liquor. and no calories in most of it.
