Whenever I try to cycle my creatine, it gives me diarrhea. I'm not sure what it is in my body or the creatine that does this to me but I can't really cycle creatine.

Does anyone else have this trouble or any suggestions?

what type of creatine are you using? Does it contain any carbs, because some people get sick off of the large amounts of dextrose in creatine products. If this is the case just get plain mono and use waxy maize starch (people have had less stomach problems with this carb source), or use a creatine that doesnt require an insulin spike.

Yeah, we need to know how much you were taking and exactly which product you were taking.
If its a complex it could be other ingredients in it that is causing gastrointestinal problems.

If it is just straight monohydrate with no additives then your body might not be able to handle the dosage you were taking.

Some of the creatine gets converted into a toxic by-product, creatinine. Your body has to deal with this by-product. Everyones body reacts differently as to the amount thats converted and the amount of actual creatine that is passed into your blood system. This by-product can cause mild to severe gastrointestinal problems.

So the more creatine you dose, the more by-product your body has to deal with. Some peoples bodies have no problems with this, others have the discomfort of blowing a load of creatine by-product out their A-Holes

Some people have cleared up the issue by eating a small meal right after dosing creatine. Or just by cutting their dosages down. I know its not preferable to eat right after creatine most of the time. I know most people take their creatine pre and post workout like I do and its not feasable to eat a meal at that time.

Hopefully you can find a way to make it work for you

im taking regular unflavored creatine monohydrate gnc brand. i also have tried a couple of other kinds that were flavored and had more carbs, but no matter what i still get the same results. usually i just take 5g but even that gives me diarrhea.

Some peoples bodies just react that way bro. Sorry to here that. I would try to experiment with taking a small meal either right before or after you dose. Unless you are taking it preworkout then I wouldnt advise that.

They are diffrent forms of creatine that supposedly have a better bioavailability. Your body may find this easier to process. This in theory would also lessin the amount of creatine turned into creatinine. The only way to really tell for sure if this would help or not is to try them and see.

about 2 years ago i made a big mess of my creatine cycles and used to take like 2x25 a day and stuff like that sometimes even more... but even then I didn't have this problem. My body took the poison and prob the overdosing as well down with my urine. Had to piss like +10 times a day at least maybe even more then +15 times a day... So yeah I guess everyone responds differently... Just try like the other guys are advising taking it in just before or after your meal, feels a lot better in the stomach than on a empty stomach. and try taking even smallers doses and see how your body reacts to that.

Good luck man

in my opinion....GNC creatine is horrible, its too grainy, and doesnt desolve well. try a pharmacuetical grade creatine, desolves easy, cant even taste it. when i took GNC i had the same problem...and from what i have read, someone correct me if im wrong, but creatine doesnt need to be cycled.....

It doesnt work in an instant in needs to be transported trough the blood to the cells for it to work. When you cycle it will boost ur creatine levels after about a week. So to really let it work you need to cycle it imo....
