Ok im creating my diet and focusing on losing bodyfat. Now eating healthy foods and guessing how much i eat has gotten me nowhere besides losing and bit of weight and then putting the weight back on so a diet is a must.

I plan on eating 6 meals a day, high protein obviously although not too much as i tend to eat too much protein and my body takes on a soft look from the excess calories.

Bread, fruit, pasta i have thrown out of my diet and will stick to fibrous vegetables, complex carbs like oatmeal, rice and sweet potatoes and proteins including fish, chicken, beef, cottage cheese and whey.

Im also taking flaxseed oil capsules to aid in a better metabolism

Im interested to know what people think is the best macro-nutrient breakdown for fat loss?

Also what are some good products for appetite suppression?

Thanks in advance

Appetite suppression will come in time by default if you don't cheat on your diet. You will be able to taste every mcg of salt and sugar because your taste buds are desensitized to it.

Check out Layne's primer in the nutrition section.

What do you think of taking a drastic measure such as the Velocity Diet? It basically consists of protein shakes with casein and whey, flax seeds, flax seed oil, fish oil capsules and THATS IT! with once a week having a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries?

Im willing to go that far, to get results that fast plus it would b way easier than counting calories etc thoughts?

How many times do I have to tell you the same thing. Read Layne's article... but you haven't, probably because it's long and you might learn something..

to be honest, i dont go by any macro split. Its about understanding what your putting into your body, understanding when to put what into your body, and most importantly understanding your body.

Nobody here is going to have better advice than Layne. Pre-contest is used to cut fat, whether you compete or not is up to you.

I'm proud of you for reading that. Not to sound close minded but Layne's article is gold standard. I don't think anyone else here has his combination of education and experience. He didn't just wake up one day and magically become a pro natural bodybuilder, it takes science and hard work.

bro...better check those numbers again. 278 grams of carbs pre contest? read and do the math one more time. that doesnt seem right

i followed his program on my cut, and my macro totals were no where near that. granted you might be heavier but you arent nearly 2x heavier.
