Hey fellas,

I just popped my bulking cherry about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and i gained about 10 lbs. I was at a measily 122 lbs. and i just moved up to a measily 132 lbs. lol. But um I'm kinda having a problem I think I might have gained a little too much body fat. My belly is like kinda jiggly now and my pecs have lost definess so im kinda like wtf... I'm not sure whether to keep eating a lot and keep hitting the gym, or to start cutting now and once I feel comfortable with my bod start eating a lot again.

I'm just tryin to get bigger so i can have a sweeter bod and cuz i do bjj and im getting crushed by all the bigger guys so ya.

Just for your guys information here's my daily diet :

Mon./Tue./Wed./Thur./Sun.

Meal 1 : Peanut butter and jelly on wheat w/ banana or yogurt + 1 cup of milk

Meal 2 : Chicken Breast, chili beans, baked potato

Meal 3 : 1 scoop whey with 2 cups of milk (after gym, trying to rely more on food then supp.)

Meal 4 : Whatever my mommy made

Meal 5 : varies, 1 cup white rice with beef(or chicken breast of no beef) OR 3 eggs with cheese and wheat toast

Meal 6 : Tuna on wheat with mayo, mustard, celery w/ plain chips

Friday and Saturday are cheat days for me because im usually out and about so its hard for me to be eating once every 3 hours. Even though they are cheat days, I only eat 3 meals each day.

I know that I should calculate how many calories I eat a day but I don't know how many I should be eating and I am too lazy to figure out how many calories those are lol. What I do know is that I am gaining more body fat than I've ever had but I'm not sure whether I should keep eating like this til' I hit the 150 mark THEN cut or if I should stop NOW, cut, and start over, eating leaner and healthier foods. I am happy that I'm gaining weight I'm just kinda pissed cuz I am getting jiggly thanks for hearing me out fellas peace!!!

cut down on your carbs somewhat for now. You gian fat fromt aking in to many calories, so look at that.

Also, the only take in simple carbs (IE white rice) post workout...

also watch your fat intake as well

alright fellas well i did some math and i came up with these numbers :

I eat approximately 2170 + 3 eggs (i dunno how many calories 3 eggs has lol) calories NOT COUNTING the mystery meal ;D (meal 4)

with these additional calories i am guessing somewhere around 2400-2500 calories a day?

the thing is 500 of these calories are FAT calories (not including meal 4 and the 3 eggs ;D)

i think thats a lot?

lol ya im not very educated on the subject

but im definately open to suggestions as to whether i should keep going then cut after i hit a fat 150....

or cut now and eat lean healthy foods and gain slower yet less fat lbs.

and if u guys do suggest that i start over what low cal. high protein foods do u suggest??

responses = greatly appreciated

thanks dewds!

I dunno, I use to have similar problems like you, I use to be 155 and im 175 now, took me about 6 months to pack that weight on. My diet was similar to yours, but the thing that was getting me chubby was the lack of muscle growth i was getting. After I started hitting the weights harder I noticed less chubb. Basic diets are suppose to be lots of carbs, medium fats and low protein. So right now Im still on my mission for 200lbs and I buy boxes of Oat meal, pancakes, fruits, I eat like 3 eggs 2 full and one just eggwhites, veggies, lots of chicken breast and sometimes fish and beef, lots of rice and beans(its cheap) sometimes pasta, I eat 2-3 pb&j a day. I hit cardio like once a week. Push it hard on the weights. Its a slow gain but its going. And Im always told this, you wont gain muscle if you dont gain fat, and if you lose fat youll lose some muscle. So its trying to find what works the best for you. Stay away from the saturated fats also, there really crappy for your goals. normal fats, they make your hormones and stuff that make you stronger.

Let me give you a little hint, Get your ass doin some cardio once in a while. I do 20mins of cardio 2-3-4 times a week, whatever I feel like. I eat approx 4-4500 calories a day in 7 meals. I eat a ton of protein a ton of carbs and a ton of fat. Also, you need to know when to eat what. I stop my carb intake after 6-7pm depending on when im going to sleep. I am 6ft tall and approx 230-235. Granted my body does burn WAY more calories than yours, but do research on your diet. Actually test food out, see how your body accepts and rejects food. Another little trick is to eat protein+fat and protein+carb meals. If you are THAT worried about fat dont eat Protein+carb+fat because all you are doing is absorbing all of the carbs bc they digest quickly, then protein, and the fat is left to go straight to your gut. But the easiest way is to start eating more, who cares if you gain a little weight, and do some cardio once in a while. It is important to keep 65-75% Max Heart Rate because that is the "zone" where your body is better at burning fat, soon as you jump your HR above that, you are burning muscle. WHICH IS BAD... Good luck and I'm sure you'll do great!
