I need some assistance in creating a bodybuilding diet for myself. This is the one part of bodybuilding thats always confusing me. Im 228-230lbs and im 6"3 im 18 years of age and i estimate my BF% is around 15-18%. I am looking to lose bodyfat and gain a little muscle mass though im more focused on losing bodyfat.

I train 3 times per week doing a split routine.
Mon-Shoulders & Traps 60-70min ( followed by cardio 30 minutes moderate-intensity)
Wed- Back & Biceps 60-70min ( followed by cardio 30 minutes moderate-intensity)
Fri - Chest & Triceps 60-70min ( followed by cardio 30 minutes moderate-intensity)

The foods im eating are: Chicken, Red Meat, Cottage Cheese, No-Fat Cheese, Yogurt & skim milk, Oatmeal, Rice cakes or Corn Cakes, Pasta, Sweet Potato, Nuts, Peanut Butetr, Flaxseed Oil, Fibrous Vegetables, Apples, Pears, Tomatoes, Lettuce.

How many calories should i eat in the day and the macronutrients? Also should i not be eating some of the foods i mentioned could some be hindering my progress?

Unless you have a credible reason for not working legs, consider your posts invisible!

Yeah like your legs got cutoff in a chainsaw accident and you have prosthetics.

Yer the legs are their on Saturdays Quads & Calves but since ive been busy and have decided to take out legs due to the fact that i have awesome leg development im not bullshitting here. Plus the cardio workouts have helped me in that department. I plan on doing interval training after workouts as before when ive done this it really works the legs.

Also i play basketball and tennis whenever i train legs hard im barely able to play from how aching and sore they get.

Basically if my legs are in front of my upper body development wise and im just balancing my physique out. Previously i train legs non-stop i wanted huge wheels, now that they've come up to par im focusing on other things.

Is that a good enough reason why im not training legs?

Specifically Layne pre-contest article. If you can't find it do a search I have literally mentioned it about 50 times.
