its logic what everybody says that at night we shouldnt eat carbs and only protein ..but when u see what pro bodybuilders say its the opposite ..jay cutler as an example he says that when he is in offseason he wake up in the middle of the night and drink a weightgainer cuz he needs a lo t of calories...soo what happens with a natural bbilder in offseason..its good to eat carbs and protein ?

My view is that preferably you don't want a huge insulin spike except post workout. With that said as long as you are staying within your target caloric range for the day and regulating insulin eat whenever you want.

During the offseason, Cutler is not very concerned about putting on some fat. (He eats literally about 1000 grams of carbs per day!) He can get cut with his in-season regimin, but for guys looking to stay more lean, I would recommend staying away from carbs late in the day. Come breakfast, have carbs again.
