I work out hard and eat protein with every meal, esp after my work out.

I've heard it time and time again, that serious pumpers take supplements. I currently just take a Whey Protein after my workout, about 16 grams, I believe. Should I take more, or of a different kind?

Thanks.

If your looking to add size/ mass yes.. pre and post workouts need to have the basic stack

But good wholesome food is best

Whey Protein. (ON is the best Optinum Nutrition )

Creatine mono hydrate

BCAA's ( branch chain amino acids )

Flax seed oil

Fish oil

Multi-vitamin

Pre / post workout, whey protein, creatine, glutemine, simple carb, plain rice cake or 1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce.

Water, water , water

Shouldn't my post workout supplement be bigger than pre?

I see I actually take 28 grams post work out. It's called Naturade NRG protein booster. It tastes like sh*t even if I mix it up with a fruit smoothie, but I do take it after each workout.

1. Is 28 g enough?
2. Is that a good brand, Naturade?
3. Should I take more than one supplement post workout?

Thanks, man.

well you weight 215 right, divid 215 by 7 = about yes 28 grams of protein each meal for your day, your math is correct.

whey protein, creatine , glutemine and simple carb.. pre / post then one hour after your workout 1 cup of low fat cottage cheese, it's slow release protein, then from there on continue your daily meals getting all 8 in for the rest of the day..

Chris

My PT said Creatine is only good if you work out multiple hours each day; you really have to work long hours to make full use of it. I work out no longer than 2 hours max each day, she was talking about 4+. Is this true?

If your workouts are intense, the creatine will greatly assist your muscles , along with the other supplements in your body for recovery and repair.

1. So it's just a powder like anything else?

2. Should I consume it with my older powder as well, or just drop the other stuff and use this exclusively post workout?

3. On their site I see the "gold standard" whey protein and the "natural" whey protein. Is this a gimmick? Why are there so many choices? I'm already confused.
