Was it carbs that i need to eat so I dont use my muscle for energy? Or was it protein? Or is it both? So when I cut I dont lose muscle

Your brain and nerve cells need glucose to survive. Carbohydrates yield glucose but so can body/dietary protein. On a cut when carbohydrates are restricted protein provides most of the glucose but is less efficient of a source than carbohydrates.

good reply freak. in short on a cut, you need to up your protein a little bit, and restrict your carbs. because you need to get your glucose from somwhere. and since it is not used as from protein, you need to eat more so that you will get a decent amount.
