I was just wondering what your guys thoughts on sodium are while on a diet.
I just started cutting and was wondering if sodium levels are anything to worry about during the cut. I know that I will have to drop the levels last week from the contest, but I'am not sure about every other day during my cut.

Any suggestions will help.

Sodium taken before a workout has been proven to reduce soreness and "burn" during workout. Taking sodium post workout will restore your electrolytes providing a hydrated environment for recovering processes to occur after workouts..other than that sodium will not affect your diet or results besides the water retention

hope that helped

Sodium and potassium in equal parts are important and even vital if you consume more than a gallon of water. You can flood electrolytes if you consume to much water and getting in dietary sodium in your diet is important to keep the balance in your body. Also sodium for me has increased vascularity if taken directly before a workout. That's just me though so don't hang me if you find that not to be the case for yourself.

AB,, great post and answer, mostly due to the fact that I consume more than 1 gallon of water daily.. I am still trying to figure out a healthy amount of sodium that I should intake.. I know I'm getting into the micro-nutrients but,,, to me it is important information.. And maybe it is to other's also...
