Your trying to lose body fat then you need to get your diet/cardio in check.

What I usually do is have 3 types of days. Low carb days, medium carb days, and high carb days. Do cardio on the low and medium carb days. I have high carb days on leg days and never do cardio.

A sample day would look like.

Meal 1 - 6 egg whites 1 whole, 1/2 cup Oats
Meal 2 - 5oz tuna, 1-1/2 cups Mixed veggies
Meal 3 - Preworkout Shake
Meal 4 - Postworkout Shake, 3 rice cakes 1tbl spoon Jelly on each
Meal 5 - 5oz Eye of Round Steak, 1/2 cup oats, One piece fruit.
Meal 6 - 5oz chicken breast, 1cup mixed veggies.
Meal 7 - 1/2 cup 1% Cottage cheese, 1 large Glass Skim Milk.

i know you're supposed to diet based on on weight if i weight 140 i'm trying to lose a lot of fat around the stomach. what would be a good diet. right now i have no diet whatsoever. the above day sounds like something i want to do but how do i change it to fit more to something a person my weight should eat?

Change the portion sizes, Insead of 5oz eat 3oz, 1/4 cup instead of 1/2. As long as you get about 1.5g of protein per 1lb of bodyweight then you should be fine. Watch the amount of carbs you take in.
