I grew up in Colorado and always thought the tap tasted fine. I'd still invest in a purifier like the guys above said tho

Depends on how long it's been since the last person peed in that sink.

Our water down here is so bad, that they treat it with chlorine. I used my pool chemical gauge once to test the tap water & it read 'perfect' - for chlorine content - for a simming pool. Imagine drinking all of your water out of your swimming pool. Not cool.

Reverse Osmosis is a process that purifies the water to 99.99% pure, pretty much regardless of what was in the water to begin with. They use it on boats, a lot, so that they can pull in ocean water & filter it into driking water through RO.

I have a filter installed in the kitchen sink, also the fridge has a thing on it for water, which has another filter installed. If you can't install a filter for one of your faucets anything Brita is a good bet.

I luck out. Randolph, Maine has some of the cleanest/purest semi-treated water in all of the state directly from the tap. I can drink a ton of it without any aftertaste, any smell or any odd cemical coating on the inside of the glass or my mouth.
