I'm in High School and I weigh about 220. I'm trying to lower my BF but i'm not sure my percentage. Can anyone give me some tips on getting started?

I prefer 0 calorie diet soda to any other drink, however I'll be willing to change if necessary.

Are there any certain foods to eat and what type of daily calorie intake should I be looking for?

ok, cut the soda. all types of soda contains sodium, which makes ur body hold on to water weight.

second, eat tuna, it will make ur muscles get a lot of protein to maintain ur musclesize while cutting BF%. u want to feed ur muscles not ur fat. also eat egg whites.

try to lower both fat intake and carb intake while cutting

and get ur actual BF% now checked ASAP

Started a 12 week cutting program 9 weeks ago.
Week1: Body weight 178 / %BF 19
Week9: Body weight 174 / %BF 15

Weight lift 3 times/week at least. HIIT twice/week. Clean out your diet. Eat flax seed and proteins. Get a BF measuring device and check once/week. Also know your target (ideally 0.5%BF lost every week).

Forgot to mention : Drink water , water and ... water.
No fat loss without adequate level of water intake (at least 2l / day).

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you need help on HIIT.
