Ok, I'm 5-10, 220.

My daughter goes to bed at 9pm, so I usually don't start my workout until 9:30ish.

A typical day of eating would be something like this:

7am breakfast - Protein shake at home, 2 cups of black coffee at work

9:30 snack - one of the following: almonds, banana, apple, clif bar

12:30 lunch - two chicken breasts and brown rice

3:30 snack - protein shake

6:30 supper - beef, fish, or chicken with steamed veggies

9:00 - NoXplode drink, go workout

I usually don't get home until 11:00 - 11:30pm. I've recently kicked up the cardio because i feel like i am about 20lbs over weight.

Does this diet look like something that will help me lean up?

Should I eat something when I get back from the gym, even though it is so late?

How do y'all feel about coffee and diet sodas?

I appreciate all of your advice.

Thanks,

Jesse

you need at least 5-6 small meals a day, to help raise and keep your metabolism high which in turn helps burn more fat....
Do you have trouble going to sleep at night? Just wandering cuzz your taking no-xplode at 9 oclock at night, not that you can help that or anything, I was just wandering, lol

after you get back from your workout, and since it is so late, you should drink a whey/casein combo shake -bigbull is right, you need a carb in the morning when u wake to get that protein to your muscles quickly - the coffee isnt bad as long as you arent loading it with sugar and cream and crap like that, i would steer clear of the sodas if your goal is weight loss- sugar & carbonation= not good

Thanks for everything!

Any suggestions on how to fix oats that taste good and are still healthy? I really don't like them for some reason.
