I think the best whey protein that you can take is the whey protein by optimum nutrition. I'm pretty sure other people will agree with me when it comes to which protein they take.

Take something with a simple carb after you workout, white potatoes, maybe a fruit juice. And take this along with your protein.

What do you mean by diluted fruit juice? Not the fruit juice mix. Real fruit juice, grape juice or cranberry juice.

optimum nutrition gold standard is the best I think. I always get the 10 pound bag no point in getting the 5 pound bag cause no matter how big the bag is it is going to run out eventually

i bought that last summer man. im telling ya its the roughest stuff going, oh jasus i feel sick just thinking about it. 1 serving has 1250 calories, 250g carbs(!!!! ) & 50g of protein. Its way to much & like drinking paste. & worse still i got the vanilla flavour, not good. But as cook82 said their pure protein is great stuff though, & best value out there in my opinion.

The whey is a 4.7kg bag(= ~10lbs), so thats 4700 grams, the serving size is 30 grams so your looking at about 155 servings which would last you a good bit. Take it once a day like.

The serious mass its says has 16 servings but if you half the serving size you'd get 32 then obviously. You be better of taking half a serving i think because your body can only take in so much nutrients at any one time & basically you'll shit out the rest!

If you aim to get most of your nutrients from 4-6 solid meals a day & then throw on top 1 protein shake and 1 half serious mass shake you'd be flying. Or even 3 solid meals, descent breakfast, lunch & dinner and then one of each shake. You get the idea anyway.
