Ok guys n gals, I am 6'2", 202lbs borderline between 201 and 202 at around 16 to 17 % body fat if I were to say without getting measured. I have trimmed down some for sure being that I have upped the protein intake daily to around 2-300 g and dropped the carbs considerably as well. I still eat a good amount of carbs when I need to but have low carb days twice out a 7 day week. I am taking THE BURN which is made by Fizogen to help me stay lean and keep my muscles toned instead of just loosing weight and muscle. I also take my protein shakes which includes 20 g of protein per serving and 2 carbs per serving. I eat things throughout the day(7 to 8 small meals a day) including steak, fish, tunafish, bagels(when it calls for it), broccoli, apples, bananas, I wake up at 6 am and take my 10 g of protein and THE BURN and then go and do about 30 mins of cardio. To everyone that reads this....does it look to you that this is a pretty decent way to blast fat and build mass with lifting 3 days a week pretty heavy?
Thanks to all who respond!

I haven't heard of "the burn", ever. So i can't tell you if I think it would help or not.

How much weight are you losing a week? Even with low carbs you shouldn't be losing more than 2 pounds a week. I would say that two pounds is the healthy upper limit for weight loss.

You should also be taking a mutivitamin. Eating vegetables. Taking Bcaa supplements as well. It's good to have alot of protein but if your not getting in all the other requirments you won't do as well.

I do eat vegetables, I eat broccoli, green beans, carrots.

Oh, I think I just passed over that lol. I missed that whole sentence. I think your doing pretty well then. 1 pound a week is a good place to stay at. As long as your seeing the definition come in bro.

i haven't ever heard of the burn either. everything else looks alright. however, your last statement build mass and get rid of fat...even if you lose a healthy amount per week you will lose some mass, unless your on juice. just keep that in mind.

keep it up man!

In my opinion you aren't slimming down fast enough. First-do not eat a thing before cardio, but still take that fat burner, and also add 20 minutes of cardio before bed. You need to cement what you are eating so that way you know exactly what you are doing that is provoking change in your physique. Bodybuilding is not a blind science, it's incremental and everything you eat and do adds up. You need to get in complete control of your eating habits, because if you were in control , then you would've given us a definitive dietary plan. And what do you mean, " I eat my carbs when I have to."? Lemme tell you, you are either low-carb or you're not. And since you are not, I hope you aren't going hog wild on those carbs. It doesn't matter how low-glycemic it is, you aren't naturally thin so don't think like a thin person. Losing fat for your type of body-type is not easy, and it certainly is not forgiving. Eat carbs strictly after lifting and for breakfast, and if it were up to me no other time. Diet is 90 % of losing weight, and if you were going to be taking a test that covered 90% of a particular topic then you would do good to do most of your studying on that particular topic right? Right, so make sure your day revolves around eating correctly and never, ever skipping a meal. This is how you will get lean, don't half-ass this shit cause will break you if you don't give it proper credence.

Exactly what AlteredBeast said. As for the mass adding, if you're only taking 10g of protein at a time you're not going to grow very fast, and the chances of getting huge on a 3 day a week plan are pretty slim. I'm the same height as you and I'm on a 4-5 day a week HIT program and I'm still trying to add mass.

I have a very fast metabolism. I can eat whatever I want and not get huge. I switch up my training every few months to keep the muscles guessing. I also switch up the order in which I train them when I keep it steady for a month. Such as, bis and back day I switch up the order I do the routine in, the next week. As for carbs.....how low do you need to stay? I am not consuming many carbs at all according to this diet. I have a 7 day planned diet and the only carbs I eat are for breakfast or after training, such as a bagel or some bread with jelly. I have tablespoon of Peanut butter like once a week or so. Other than that, it's fish, broccoli, protein protein protein and veggies with fruit too. I think this has helped because I am feeling much better and stronger too. This month it's supersetting workouts. Next it could be just back to heavy ass lifting. Who knows.......thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it!

If your metabolism is so fast then how in the hell are you 17% bodyfat? My friend lucas eats whatever he wants and he has ripped everything all the time. That's a fast metabolism, you on the other hand probably hyping yourself up a little more than you should.

you keep saying you have a planned 7 day diet and and according to this are low carb...instead of just going on and on about this just POST the diet, that would help. then everyone could give their inputs.
