Let me know if any of you guys have tried Universal Nutritions Muscle Juice? I have been using this product for a few weeks now and I feel fuller than ever before. Let me know what you think.

I've never tried it myself. But here are the nutritional facts for it.

Supplement Facts
Serving Size: 4 scoops
Servings Per Container: 19
Amount Per Serving
Calories 990
Calories from Fat 162
Total Fat 18g
Saturated Fat 17.9g
Cholesterol 77mg
Sodium 117mg
Potassium 990mg
Total Carbs 152mg
Dietary Fiber 0g
Sugars 60g
Protein 55g
Vitamin A 47iu
Calcium 375mg
Iron 1.5mg

It looks more like a meal replacement shake than a postworkout shake honestly. And I can't remember the last time I had Over 500 calories in one sitting.

Thats also alot of saturated fat. If it was unsaturated that might be a different story, but almost 20 grams of saturated fat is out of the question.

Wow, with those calories and fat you might as well go drink a pint of Guiness. LOL. I'd never looked at this supplement before but from the looks of those stats I won't be trying it. Stick to a nice protein shake like Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein Gold Standard. Many threads here on the board about it. If you want something that's pre-made look into something like Muscle Milk.

Optimum Nutrition has some of the best tasting and working protein. Just make sure whatever you do you stick to a general rule. No mixing fruit punch with milk, it doesn't taste good. Fruit punch flavored with water. I use vanilla ice cream flavored, and I use it with water. It's not that bad, but there are some really tasty flavors for the low carb count.

Even for a hardgainer, all that fat is no good. You can get a much better source of carbs as well.

Lets face it guys, you need fat, all types. You can't get huge without gaining some fat, Unless your juicing....which I don't. You need all those calories post workout especially the protein and the carbs. As long as you doing your cardio, you won't get too fat. Im filling out really well using this product. Yes I do use optimum nutritions 100% whey, but its not fulfulling even when mix with juice or milk. Thats my point of view. And just so you know Im not a hard gainer, just a hard trainer. Im 5'9 225lbs.....and rising.

Yes you need fat, but you need certain types of fat. Saturated fat in large amounts is unhealthy. EFAs, essential fatty acids come in the form of monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats. These are the fats that you need to take in.

From the looks of it that product honestly looks like a cheap conglomeration of things just thrown in a mix. You can get a healthier source of protein and carbs without all that fat.

Thats what I thought. Until you have earned your stripes on stage don't lecture the veterns on nutrition. I know what Im doing, I just wanted to know if anyone else used this product. Using nutritional lingo doesn't make you an expert, it show you have no life. But thanks for you advice.
