I wasnt really sure where to post this, kinda has to do with nutrition or lack thereof.

Basically, I just want to know how everybody else gets through getting the flu really badly for a couple days.

What I'm talking about is the fact that when you are so sick that it is physically impossible to keep food down, what is the best course of action? Is it better to keep trying to eat things until you stop throwing up or hope it stays down?

Or is it better to not eat at all and try to shake the flu as fast as possible (even though we all know this goes against the fundadmental aspect of bodybuilding which is to eat, eat, and eat some more).

The only problem that i alwasy encounter when i get the flu, which usually happens once a year, is i find that i loose some weight, mostly from water decrease, and a little strength.

I just wanna know everyone's thoughts and what they do.

Dude, bodybuilding is intended for healthy individuals and having a severe flu hardly puts you in that criteria. Take it easy until it is completely gone and in the meantime just handle anything that will go down. Usually food that is easily digestable will stay down, like carbs (crackers, oatmeal, cream of wheat) and veggies. There is absolutley NO WAY AROUND it, You can't do anything bodybuilding. Just be grateful you have the opportunity to be able to lift again. This lay-off is a great way of mentally charging yourself up for the next time in the gym.

i JUST had the flu, it lasted.. 2 days i think, one morning i was nearly disabled, i had trouble walking and thinking, however, had an ok sleep, and the next day i was up and running again. I think it could have been i had been training a lot, and a lil stressed with uni work etc.

the flu is a virus, there is nothing that helps against it except a good nights sleep...
