protein bottles

i didnt reall know what section to post this but i guess this is it sinse it has to do with protein...........whenever i forget to clean my gmc bottle after i drink the protein it stinks so dam bad the next day... do u guys deal with this also and is there any way to get rid of the smell?

Just clean out the bottle, get a glass bottle, it doesn't smell as bad and its easier to clean. Whenever protein goes bad it'll smell rotten.

anything high in protein, such as your protien shakes, anything that touched milk or eggs you need to rinse out with cold water first then wash with warm water

I found that if you fill it up with cold water and leave it overnight it get rid of the smell

true on that thats what i do drink it fillit up with water and let it sit.

Burn the fucker. I found one in my car once that I thought I lost (from about a month before), I didn't even open it, just chucked it in the can.

I've heard of people using sand to scrub out the smell. lol Not sure if it works.

Uh, yeah. I wasn't going to state the obvious but thanks for doing it. :) We run our dishwasher at least once a day so usually I just rinse mine out after each use and throw it in the dishwasher at night. The print on the side of it washed off months ago so I don't know where I got it from, but who cares really.

And honestly, if it really smells THAT rancid, spend a few bucks and buy a new one.

A sure fire way to get rid of the smell is to put some boiling water a bit of liquid soap into the bottle. Whenever you get a really bad smell from a bottle thats from bacteria. My bottle was left with a little bit of protein mix with water and after three days smelled like hell. I just poured a little boiling water in it, poured soap, let it sit, then bingo, no more bad smell.
