i just wanted to know what you all tink is good timing for food or supplements. like with things to spike insulin (maybe give an example of a specific food) or something rich in protien. i know its good to ingest protien after a work out but what about before bed.. i take ZMA 45 min before i go to bed. maybe just map it out or how ever you'd like to help me would be cool. just to let you know im trying to bulk up right now. im trying to get more calories. but i need help.. sometimes i eat steak like twice a day. whats that good for, protein and calories? thanks for the help!!

I would try to eat every 2-3 hours. As for the nighttime protein, I also had a hard time finding the right stuff that would supply sufficient aminos while I was asleep. The best mixture I found was MHP's Probolic SR. It contains fast, medium, and slow release proteins mixed in so you stay anabolic while you sleep. I contains like 50grams of protein, not sure how much carbs it has though. I saw some great results from this supplement, and I believe that it is one of the best supplements to get you bigger, and leaner.

I am currently usuing Syntrax Matrix 5.0 Protein Blend. Cost me $31 + shipping for 5.24 lbs. I like the combo and the sustained release benefits, therefore, I can use this ANY time of the day or especially evening before sleep. I also use some pure whey about 1 hour before training.

Here's their schpiel, as you will read, they blend the proteins so I don't have to:

Sustained Release Anabolic Proteins With Glutamine Peptides.
Matrix 5.0. Taking years to properly formulate, Matrix 5.0 solves all of the problems currently afflicting those other "five pounders". Most importantly, we completely stayed away from cheap, inferior protein sources such as denatured sodium and calcium caseinate. We knew that to be the best, we had to use only the highest quality undenatured protein sources such as ultrafiltered whey protein, ultrafiltered milk protein, undenatured egg albumin, and glutamine peptides. The costs are much higher, but the rewards are significant. These proteins not only taste great but they are unmatched in their ability to improve overall health as well as build critical bodily tissues and processes.

Syntrax Matrix 5.0 Ingredients:

Undenatured Whey Protein
Micellar Casein and Egg Albumin
Anabolic and Anticatabolic Proteins
Best Tasting Protein...Guaranteed
Glutamine Peptides
