I heard on an old thread that Multi's arent really worth a damn to your body, somethin about how the minerals in them are just finely crushed stones and that your body cant digest that ... Im hopin its BS. Anybody got insight on this?

Personally I am not a fan of them. I read some studies a long time ago in the military that they conducted tests (disgustingly enough) in port-a-potties and found that most of the vitamin itself doesn't even get digested. I am sure some are better than others but Centrum was one of the worst from what I remember.

I personally just stick to the important ones. I take vit. C, magnesium/zinc at night, etc. I feel the rest of them I can get from the 4500 cals I eat per day.

WORST case even if you crap it out, multi's are like $0.01 a day. while they may or may not be effective, IMO its better to take it than to worry about being deficient in something

Depending if you are defficient, some of it will get absorbed, and the other will be pissed out. But since they are extremely cheap, why not...

If your diet is sound enough you should be getting enough dietary Vitamins and Minerals. I do take E, C, and B6 but that is it. Most Multi-Vitamins have ridiculous amounts of undigestable Vitamins and defecceint amounts of useful ones..

Personally for me I take them and do generally feel better, compared to when I trained without them. Even if they dont do a huge amount for you, someone else said it's $0.01 a day so it's not horribly expensive. I like the Megamen brand from GNC.

I take them even though my buddies septic tank had to be repaired and there were literally thousands of undigested pills in the tank from years of use. I take capsules in everything I can find now :)

I take Multivitmains 2X a day, once when I wake up and once with my post WO meal, as for their effectiveness, at least for me, it's one of those things you don't feel when you're taking them, but once you stop, I feel a notice drop-off in energy and performance. Kinda like glucosamine???

I find myself having to take the multivitamins, because if I dont even with a full 8 to 9 hours of sleep I end up still very tired or sluggish. They do give me the energy needed to get through the.
