Hi im currently training 4-5 times per week. i believe i have an appropriate training program, but my diet is pretty poor. i weight roughly 10st, and am 5ft5''. i have a ok phyisque nothin special, due to soccer keeping me lean. however my main ambition is to increase lean muscle mass and also gain a six pack, which shouldnt be too hard due to not having a great deal of fat on my stomach,
so what im asking is does anyone know of a decent diet, and any tips regarding reaching my goals. i know i wont and dont want to be massive just a decent shape and some abs. any tips will be great...is it poss to loose the excess weight while also gaining muscle mass (lean ) .. thanks daz

at first no, gaining mass requires more calories than you burn and loosing weight is the opposite, but you will hardly gain weight when playing soccer, i mean it's possible but it will be very slow but anyway goodluck bro

if you just started lifting then you can gain some lean muscle mass through your workouts (while you are trying to drop you're body fat percentage). However if you have been lifting for a little longer you need to go through cut and bulk cycles to gain some muscle then shed the fat. Probably a 6 week cut 2 week bulk.

As far as diet basic tips I can give u is have most of ur carbs in the morning, and then some carbs after ur workout. Protein shake in the morning and post workout. Avoid fast food, frozen food, too much sodium, sugar, etc. And try to avoid carbs after about 5 Eat lots of veggies, chicken, tuna, fish, all that good stuff. Cottage cheese and milk before bed is a good source of slow digesting protein.

If you're looking for a 6 pack then cardio and dieting is the way to go. Check out forums on HIIT (sprint 1 min, walk 1 min for about 15-20 min) and do that like 3x a week.

goodluck

sound one thanks mate. I know its poss, as just looking at proffesional players like ronaldo, or someone like that. They add alot of lean muscle pre-season, well enough to make them look in good shape anyways. .
