Just curious to see what people on here believe to be the best training methods? HIT, Drop Sets, Tri Sets, FST-7? I've mixed about with all of them (I say all imsure there's some I haven't) and have got to say that FST-7 thrown in on a major muscle group hurts like HELL It's fantastic...

I used to have to train in the gym for hours before getting this feeling (probably wasnt training hard enough...but I blame my comedian of a training partner) But tried this method on chest yesterday, and your at the point where you ache now and you know tomorrow is going to be a...you get the idea

Thoughts anyone?

I guess it depends on what the persons individual goals are. One persons "best" training method may not fit the criteria for another persons "best" training method due to different set goals.

I havn't tried any FST-7 training yet but it does sounds pretty rough. I may have to give it a go on next chest day.

DC highly under rated. FST-7 Highly over rated. IMO drop sets, tri sets i generally like to throw in theyre very helpful for lagging, resistant muscle groups but like i said DC is highly under rated.

Best training method? IMHO, Intensity/effort cycling. Bar none.

Its what works for you, anyone how knows me knows im a huge proponent of high frequency training (hitting each muscle group 2x a week or at least once every 5 days but i also believe highly in cell volumization and fascia stretching (mainly through the means of fst-7) are critical in muscle growth

Agree 100%. I throw in every third workout DC stretches, and every third one fst-7. Also like to try and hit each muscle about every 4 days. This is what works for me, tried typical once a week, but not until I did more frequency did I actually start making progress.

I was the same i trained once a week thinking it was the right thing to do but gains came very slowly even though i was eating a pretty good diet, once i changed to high frequency about 3 weeks later i started getting comments so i knew i was onto a good thing,

I don't personally think it matters what type of specialized training you choose. I think you can make big gains from the basics as long you take into account all the factors that contribute to muscle mass (leverage, range of motion, structure, nutrition, unit recruitment, energy efficiency, and coordination to name a few), the most important ones IMO being some mental ones: pain tolerance, focus and motivation.

That aside... I'm enjoying FST-7 currently.
