bodybuildingpro.com/samirbannout2.jpg

That is Samir Bannout 1983 Mr. Olympia he is at about 195 lbs in that picture. What I would like to know is it possible to achieve this type of body without the use of AAS or PH? I understand it all depends on genetics but IMO I have good genetics I have always had a good muscular body even before I started lifting weights. I am talking about a 110% commitment to my workout routine and my diet. I am 5''5 and about 155 lbs right now so how likely is it for me to gain 35-40 lbs of muscle within the next 2-3 years and have a chance to build a body like his or something close to it with out the use of AAS or PH? The only supplements I take are Whey protien and standard creatine monohydrate and I eat 6 times daily a lot of clean foods such as eggs, chicken breast, boiled potatos and so forth. I have been training full time for almost a year now and have made some really good gains I just hope once I reach my natural limit I will have a body nearly as good as his.

any help will be great thank you

Thanks for the reply I am just trying to find a natural looking bodybuilder with a great body that I could look at and say I have a chance to acheive what he has without the use of drugs.

The first step is to find an actual natty to aspire to. Then get to the work. Samir was put together for sure though, and man 195!

Guys help me with something here.

This is a picture of natural bodybuilder Rodney Helaire

liftforlife.com/Rodney%20hands%20on%20hips%202%20small.JPG

Now compare that with picture of Samir Bannout (1983 Mr. Olympia)

bodybuildingpro.com/samirbannout2.jpg

Samir still looks better but not by much for someone who has great genetics and supposivly used AAS.

Wow, that guy would get questioned on a panel with those arms and chest, but man he looks great. Hard to say how Samir would have looked if he had not used AAS, prob not as good as Rodney does.

It is very difficult to actually prove steroid use (and some like HGH are pretty much untraceable). Anyone who has achieved size will almost certainly get accused at some point. You can't know for sure if anyone is taking any gear, hell, there's no real scientific drug-test proof that Ronnie takes them.

That said, the question often comes up how big can I get without any steroids.

I would check out Casey Butt's maximum potential calculators for a size estimate.

Do note that in pretty much 99% of bodybuilder pictures you see, they are at a photoshoot/competition. They are at very low bodyfat levels, dry tight skin, good tanning, prepped lighting, full posing...you get the idea. Not only that, digital photography allows for many "enhancements" to be made to a photo. This isn't to say they have not achieved incredible physiques, just perhaps not as incredible as you see in the pics.

Very true Demon, I'm getting ready for a natty show and more than one guy has snickered at the mention.

Genetic potential is by far the most unpredictable ingredient in any bodybuilder. You could inject every substance known to man and not break 200 pounds, while other guys just need some meat and veggies.

Yes, I did see your thread, best of luck! If you come in shredded enough and you a have good posing routine, you should still place pretty well.

Bang on about genetics, you have what you have, though gene doping may soon change that too!

He seems believable enough.

He's been training for a very long time (43 year old now) and his weight/height are within possible natural ranges (165lbs contest at 5'4''). Lee Priest who's the same height comes in at about 205lbs contest.

is it possible to attain his physique naturally?
i think yes.

with hard work, commitment, consistancy, sacrafice, pain, hardship, and determination, yes!

would it be any easier to attain his physique with steroids? i wouldn't say so! not at all. maybe a little bit faster.

somewhere on Casey's site there are pics of the natural greats. some that come to mind are John Grimek, Reg Park, Marvin Eder, & Steve Reeves. they're not Cutler's size, but I'd take that build over Jay or Ronnie any day.

i would def say yes, years of consistent hard work and intelligent dieting can prove to very rewarding. genetics play a large role in your body, but to acheive that level, yes imo

let be real her, all those bodybuilders are on steroids if we want to beleive it or not. It is always a good goal to try and achieve those guys physique but at the end of the day its several cycles and years of steroids that get them to look the way they do. Anyone who is 300lbs and completely ripped is on steroids, if you ask around and get to know some people who have had delaings with some bodybuilders they will tell you "their lives reveolve aorund food, workingout, and steroids.'

But we will all still try and achieve those goals

you can achieve anything man, the only variable in the equation to ur ultimate goal is how hard u are willing to work for it... how bad to u really want it... studies have shown that genetics only account for a maximum of 16% of ur overall potential, the rest is on u... especially in a sport like bodybuilding where its not really inborn "talent" that makes the best of the best, but simply hard work... dont listen to the naysayers that are gonna tell u that u need genetics to achieve ur goals... if u want something, go get it period... genetics are responsible for the very fine things in bodybuilding, meaning it could be the difference between 15th at the O and 1st... so keep workin hard bro, its only a matter of time if u want it bad enough...
