People always talk about how things work different from one and another. Like, find out what works the best for yourself. I belivie that is an overstatement. I belivie that we create what works the best for ourself and that you fool your body into thinking "this is right for me". I also belivie that the mind is a beautifull thing and that if you just belivie hard enough and create your own world - you WILL achivie whatever it is you want to achivie. Like it was ment to be. My body totally freaked out when I stopped eating bodybuilding food, and more of the regular food. After a while it got used to it and cutting down on the training and the heavy weights didnt seem to do much harm either. That is funny to me. I remember a quote from a bodybuilder I cant remember the name of, saying "Its not about high reps, low reps, heavy weight, light weight etc.. Its just some guys beliving in what they do" or something like that. It makes perfect sense dont you think? Just like the quote "There are many ways to Rome".

Good points to ponder. I can't totally agree with either side. I think both are true in some regard.

i can agree to some extent. as each individual is different in more ways than one, from right down to the cellular level and make up of dna, to their particular ecclectic tastes. Different training creates different results in different people. body type plays a part, mental apptitude, muscular endurance, etc. etc. etc. so i can see where the differences lie. however, i believe with the proper technique and training regiment, everyone will respond positively regardless of certain factors. training is training, and if you work hard enough at somthing you will inevitably recieve results. just my two cents.

I agree about 80%. The mind is a great tool and I believe most exercise is just about having the right mentality and you can achieve much more by just believing you can do something rather doubting yourself and then failing because of it.

I also believe the same about supplements though, and that most peoples "gains" come from them believing they should be able to lift more just because there on something like creatine or beta alanine and not actually because the supplement is having a significant difference.

Your opinion's are gold fellas.. Being twice your age.. I can agree with them all.

I still have not found what works exactly for me. That's why this sport is so cool.. It's ever changing and your body adapts to everything over time. The constant change is good..keeps the mind sharp and your emotions alive with wonder.

I agree with the mind controlling your body part because if it wasn't true then Dr.'s wouldn't prescribe placebo pills that make people better. If you think it will work then it's going to but if you think it's a flop from then the start then chances are it's not going to work.

You'd like it. It's kind of like the whole good cop bad cop all in one guy kind of thing. he will do what ever he has to do to get someone to talk..i.e. break knees, shoot legs, beat until they talk....you know just like every other cop out there does.lol
