A fellow competitor was asked if he was really "clean" ? His response was no I'm not "Clean", I'm all natural! Meaning of course that being clean to him meant he was taking a break from some kind of chem enhancement.

So is Michael Lockett "natural" or is Michael Lockett "Clean" ?

He's been discussed in quite a few forums, mainly due to his poor eating habits and excellent physique in very little time training.

If he is natural, he's a phenomenon. Even people like Reg Park and Rob Hope, some of the most genetically gifted people I've seen, took many years to attain the physique you see in their pictures. Of course, they paid attention to their nutrition too.

If he's not natural, he still looks great.

We can scrutinise and point but at the end of the day, drugs or no drugs, this guy does have a much greater genetic potential than most of us. And let's be fair, how many of you have irrefutable evidence that Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler or other IFBB pros take anabolics? We know sizes like that are unattainable without drugs, although I still find forums discussing if they are natural or not, but they've never come out and said it (apart from Lee Priest, whose the only one I've ever heard even mention steroids).

I have attached a pic which seems to me to be him (I can't honestly tell) a few years back. I can't see this guy being naturally big, although his friend looks to have a big arm.

After looking at Flex wheelers interview with him, that def is him. The tat on the right forearm matches up. Wow he has packed on the beef!

You are right regardless of his chem state, he has put together quite a frame.

1 year improvement, 25LBs bigger.

Well 25lbs per year is not impossible it is at the upper limit. As your physique gets more advanced and you get older its harder to achieve such results.

Here is a quote from Layne FAQ:

"well typically the absolute max amount of amino acids that can be deposited in tissue per day is about 5-10g. So let's say you max that at 10g per day. 10X365 = 3,650 grams. 3650g/454grams per lb = 8.04 lbs. Now that is dry tissue weight. Skeletal mucle is only about 30% dry tissue and 70% water. so if 8.04 is divided by .3 you get about 26.8 lbs per year. Now obviously this is not set in stone but I think it's probably safe to say anything over 25-30 lbs of LEAN tissue gain per year would be close to impossible to achieve without anabolics."

I think 25lbs of mainly lean tisue as a natty is amazing if its true? thats almost two stone of mucles to a frame. Most of the guys who take gear and growth would be happy with that. He is not a a beginner, and thersfore his rate of growth should have slowed down, No wonder the average newbie feels inadequate when seeing that spate of natural growth!

The upper-body seems to be almost completely natural. He is a smart BB by refusing to go pro due to his lack of lat width. What surpises me is his thigh development. Although he has extremely "high calves", his calf devlopment is no way on-par with his thigh development (which is relatively uncommon). He has a ways to go in terms of symmetry, lat width, and calf development if he wants to be top-ten IFBB. I wish him all the luck...seems like a solid BB.

He definetly looks natural enough. & he can definetly pass as an natty, but 22lbs in a year is just TOO HARD TO BELIEVE for someone like him

Not everyone has genetics and it doesn't come as easily as it seems to come to him! He seems to have genetics and gains seem to come easily to him. I can easily believe he did this natural.
