Hey everyone, I appeared on Ultimate Talk Radio today. My segment was a bit short but I am coming back next week to finish it up. Check it out. You can listen to the show here. I come on at about 43 minutes.

Good stuff Layne

Layne talks about how he got started in BB, his education and how he incorporates what he finds in his educational studies into his BB diet and supplementation. Also talks about the important things Natural BBers should focus on and more on supplements.

Layne, I was wondering if you could go into a little more depth about what you said on Big Nation- Bodybuilding about the anabolic response after eating and the duration of protein synthesis.

You suggested eating less frequently so the amino acids can elevate and then fall. But wouldn't eating again create a new anabolic response? Or is this response diminished if the amino acids are still too high?

if amino acid levels are still at a plateau it is unlikely eating would increase that further as the plateaued levels are reflecting the maximum rate of amino acid entry into the bloodstream... so no, it would not in my opinion.

Suggesting bbers eat less often... very bold.

I have been eating 6-8 meals a day for a long ass time, but I am going to test out your advice. I am constantly hungry though. How much of each macronutrient do you eat in each meal?

Very interesting layne. I have a question. If you go from eating every two hours to every 4-5 hours in your offseason, how do you maintain your elevated caloric intake to add lean mass if your eating less meals? Im a hardgainer, so would it be optimal for me to eat my meals spaced further apart?

well what i would suggest is space you rprotein meals further apart but you could still have carb meals every 2 hours to help keep your total calories up
