Hey guys I am 17 im 5'11 about 149-154 pounds ripped I was just wondering how much I can squat before I start gaining mass which I don't want on my legs I don't want big thick legs right now there ripped and my quads everything you can see im squatting at 150 I do 12-16 reps 6-8 sets is this the most weight I can do before I start gaining mass? im a mesomorph also
it all depends on what your comfortable doing, for me 225 is my moderate weight it's all about your body and what you feel is the right weight for your goal. if you think about it, your squatting your actually bodyweight, so to me it sounds perfect for ya. try 185 and see how that works, if you don't feel comfortable, then drop back down again.

dude, when I was 18 and I my weight was 150lbs I did squats with 450lbs for 2 reps and it felt so damn good..put some weight on the bar,and never say you don't want to get big..trust me,you can be riped and have a very good muscle definition an 200lbs too...train hard,power-eat and sleep well...peace

you have to remember that you need to be proportional otherwise you'll look stupid
^^ i agree!! last thing u want is toothpicks for legs compared to a proportioned body... i think it looks much better!. i hate doing my legs just due to the amount i have to lift to see some gains but i still do them to try and get rid of my toothpick legs...keep goins dude and make some big legs.

Easiest answer: Don't eat enough food to go up in weight and you will not gain any mass.
Additional answer: 3-6 reps, much more strength than size.
Size is a function of caloric intake.
Strength is a function of various muscle and CNS factors.
Now I don't want to sound like i'm picking on you, or start a fight. But why in the blue hell would you not
want to gain mass? The shredded look of your legs are a product of body fat percentage, you can have huge bulking thighs that are ripped and shredded enough to grate diamonds into dust.
How many mesomorphs do you know that don't have big legs? You look for a description of a mesomorph and you will see "Trunk thighs, barrel chest". Embrace that shit.
