After having a long chat with Denny Kakos INBA World President about the promotion and development of the PNBA Pros it looks like he and Wayne McDonald INBA Vice president are looking at developing the PNBA Pro ranks.

The fine is ridiculous. Just publish the results and ban the athlete. $10,000 would be quite the deterrent though.

i actually somewhat disagree with the fine... they aren't paid a salary

The fine will never be an issue if you dont cheat.
Just cause you aint paid a wage dont make it right to cheat. If the INBA is going to put money into promoting and marketing the pros is it not right to expect them to be natural and fine them if they dont stick to the rules.
If it is another way to keep cheats out of natural bodybuilding then go on the INBA/PNBA.

Getting fined is one thing but do they really expect people to pay $10,000? I would think that they would just go to another bodybuilding league.

This is still in development so we will see what the final figure is but the fine never really concerned me as it would ever be a problem as I am natural. Surely for natural athletes your first reaction should be great fine the cheats it will give more prize money for the real naturals.
I am finding the reaction to this fine very bizarre I immediately thought yes will keep cheats out.
People are still trying to cheat at the moment so perhaps if they thought it would hit them financially would think twice before trying to compete along side true natural athletes. That would leave a real level playing field.
I would be happy to go along with any decision regards a fine for cheating.

I dont think it would keep them out, just make them more cautious. The fine isn't something the PNBA could take the athlete to court over, is it? Because if they cant then its really just an empty threat, if they get caught they can just go to another league and start over.

If they make you sign a contract I would imagine they would be more than able to take you to court if you didnt pay.
Lets hope it works to keep cheats out.

Yeah, I hope that it does work. Lets keep Natural Bodybuilding Natural, we dont need those big roid powered guys like that Layne Norton guy

I def agree with the natural orgs making strides to keep it all natural. I guess I look at the dollar value as a non-issue. For a local comp here, there is a $150 - I think , entry fee. If you are caught cheatig than they keep your fee and you are booted. Then again I'd love to enter an event without such a steep entry fee.
