I want your opinions on this subject especially, Layne. Have any of you guys noticed a signifinant change in muscle loss when doing high intesety instead of lower intensety cardio sessions? I do belivie that fast walking would be better. You dont see many proffesional bodybuilders using high intensety cardio sessions. I just want some feedback on this. I did walk fast today, but after a while I got bored and startet to jog instead. Since I had refeeding day yesterday I figured it couldnt hurt so much anyway. I have yet to decide what Im going to do so I would just like some opinions from you guys first. And Layne, if you could tell me how you do your cardio in a week while cutting, that would be much appriciated.

It all depends on what you feel best with. There is no denying that high intensity burns more calories in total but high intensity sessions, even 15 minutes ones, are more "tiring" than 45 minute LISS. A hard running session will take significantly more time to recover from than a slow walk/jog.
Muscle loss occurs through generally too high a calorie deficit. It is somewhat irrelevant at what intensity your cardio is at. The smaller the calorie deficit, the greater the chance of retaining most if not all of your muscle mass. Whether you create that calorie deficit with lots of hard cardio and high-ish calories or some easy cardio with low-ish calories, it's more or less the same result as far as getting lean that is. There are far more cardiovascular benefits in high intensity training.
Most natural bodybuilders I know train with some sort of high intensity cardio, either HIIT (e.g Layne Norton) or HISS (high intensity steady state,e.g Tom Venuto). You like to jog, jog! Try it for a week with your current calorie intake and take your measurements. Can't know unless you try. Don't worry, any muscle lost is quickly regained. It's new never-before-attained muscle that is the hard part.
