No toe nail

Couple of month ago, I drop a piece of a desk on my toe. It got all black, and evetually, i pulled it off. It got a bump on it now, kinda numb. Anyone have any thought, idk if it swell up or if it suppose to be like that

hey i was at a skiing camp in BC a few summers ago and from all the big jumps both of my toenails turned black and fell off, a few days after the tissue underneath turned hard like a thin nail untill the real toenail grew back in.

dont worry about it carry on with your life as normal

i had a 45lb plate drop on my big toe and kind of a diagonal accross the nail, it fell off and grew back super ugly... thick, curved up and looks like a sea shell.. hard to trim. are you grossed out yet.. true story.. it sucks but i still do everything but if someone steps on that toe it hurts like a bit#$.. lol.. it has been 15 years and still the ugly toes is there.. lol..

dont worry if you want to see a podiatriatrist go for ti but its fine the same thing happened to me, and my dad's a doctor he looked at it , its totally normal for the nail to fall off, it will grow back eventually

yeah its cause blood accumulates under the nail and when that washes out theres nothing holding onto the nail
hell when it happened to me i even tried squirting superglue under it so it wouldnt fall off, needless to say it didnt work

There is a bump on my toe where the nail used to be. I think its swollen. Is that normal and can the nail grow back when the bump is still there

yeah the nail will grow back the bump is fine, but when the nail grows back it might look different then before
