Sup guys. I have tendonitis in both shoulders. This limits my work outs greatly. I can barely do any pushing movements, and no shoulder movements at all. Im doing stretches and little light weight exercises to help it heal, but ive had this for a year now. Anyone ever have tendonitis in the shoulders or anywhere else? Any tips on what I can do to speed up the healing process? Lemme know! Thanks.

I have a bad shoulder too.....i got my shoulder partially dislocated a few years ago and when that happened I could barely raise my arm.........Tendons take some time to heal...they are not like muscles that heals faster because blood carry to them all the nutrients to get fixed....so be patient .........my advice is to check with your doctor and rest .... Also you can take some joint support supplement ....i have used Animal Flex and it is pretty good.....not magic but good product.........

The first time that happened to me I was not able to work my upper body for a few weeks but instead I started specialization training for my legs.....and they grew a lot!!!! So don’t get disappointed and don’t stop training......shit happens but it is up to you to take advantage of every situation.!!!!!!!!

My two cents

Thanks for the advise fmoncas, i have been focusing on my legs, even though i really prefer doing upper body!
As for my doctor, he told me just to rest, and i tried a shot of cotizone, which didnt do shit, and i dont wanna do more due to possible side effects. I had went to see an athletic therapist for a while, and he gave me some stretches and exercises to do, but they dont seem to be helping. If they do, its a reallllyyyy slow process =/

Be patient Hanma.....i know that is difficult to stop training the upper body because you feel that you will lose your hard earned muscles....i have been there...so I feel you pain!!!...........however after a few weeks of resting, you not only will regain all the muscles fast but also your upper body will be prepared and ready for new growth...........In the midtime try the supplement that I told you before.....One can is like 30 bucks and it has a month supply....... I believe that in our diets we don’t usually (never) eat the animals tendons......(we just eat the meat and fat) so our bodies doesn’t have the raw materials to fix our own tendons........joint support products contains just that.....Glucosamine, MSM, shark cartilage, etc.

Also if you a not already supplementing with Fish Oil you should..... 6 to 10grams dayly........(it Help me A lot bro)... it reduces inflammation and pain from exercise.

I Hope this helps

Francisco

i had the same issue, tendonitis in both shoulders. DEFINATELY see a doctor, sell diagnosis and self medication can mess u up much more

I went through the whole thing, MRI and about 5 months of physical therapy.

Heres some joint supplments..

Fish Oil
Glucosomine
Chondroitin
MSM

the three latter, u can buy together in one pill, GNC has a brandname product called Tri-flex with them all.

When I had went to the doctor, then into physical therapy, all we did was rotator cuff excersizes, deep tissue muscle massage, and ultra sound treatmeants followed by some heavy icing. This coupled with some anti-inflammatory drugs.

now...PERSONALLY, after 5 months...its still kinda hurt, i learned some valuable excersizes that i still do too warm up by joints, but other than in the end...i ended up doing a few weeks of deca, lol and havent had any problem since.
