So, I was destroying Back tonight and at the very last set of my last exercise I do something terribly wrong. I was doing upright/bent-over row smith machine raises (A hybrid exercise) and I do my reps and my sets, and as I was unracking the weights I hear a thud. Before I look down I feel this odd pressure, not painful mind you, but just odd feeling on my big toe. So I look down and see that a 35 lb plate just smashed onto my foot, and as I bend over to get a closer look, my shoe and sock were both slashed and a pool of red was seeping out. So, I calmly and smoothly remove my shoe and sock and uncover a nasty gash over the top(bidge portion/no joint) part of my big toe and this line of dark red blood oozes out on the gym floor. So...As I prepare for my first natural contest-it being 9 weeks away, I wonder if I should be a man and suck it up, or contemplate dropping from the show. Right now I'm ahead with my contest prep but this will undoubtedly stop me from doing cardio for a few days, and hurt for many days afterward. This happened an half-hour ago and hurts...not bad or anything...just a uncomfortable pressure. It's not broken, and it didn't swell up too bad either. I'm icing it now, but so many decisions, so little time. What would you guys do in my current situation? |
