Don't use disposable shavers. I recommend shaving about a week before just so you don't have gobs of hair and its more of just a "brush up" the night before. Go slow, use short strokes, and be careful around ankles, knees, and hamstrings. Also the more you shave the better you will get and you will learn your problem areas and how to avoid cutting yourself.
