Ppl like str8flexed and others are not trying to put others down. They are using their knowledge and exerience to help others in making decisions. In this case they are trying to SAVE YOU money. But each to their own. If L-Glutamine works for you, then use it.

No, its called trying to help them understand that they could get the same thing without spending THEIR money or spending THEIR money on more useful supplements.

Its called HELPING people.

Maybe instead we'll just stop and set up shop and sell you everything, including the bullshit.

Just chiming in to say that I take 30 grams of L-glutamine powder spread over 3 servings throughout the day, 10 minutes prior to meals. DOMS feels blunted. I don't ever catch a cold anymore. Placebo-effect? Sure could be. Did I perform a double-blind study on myself? Nope. Could all these effects just be in my head, and I'm imagining everything? Very possible. Would I stop taking L-glutamine? Hell no.

If you've got the extra money and are willing to go out on a limb, get on L-glutamine and stick with it so you don't leave the effects up to different factors. A 30-day supply would cost no more than 30 bucks if you bargain shop. From my experience, I just needed a few days to adjust to get the effects, so there's your trial period. If you don't like it then hey, you can at least say, "I've tried this product that others have loved; it sucks that it didn't work for me."

30 bucks in the long run is negligible. You guys probably spend 30 bucks in 1 hour at the bars with your buddies, anyway. Try it out, don't be scared.

And the supplement industry lives on.....

What is funny about this one is that usually the articles tell you buy this and that and people bitch and complain...this one they are telling you NOT to buy it and people are holding on to their glutamine for dear life.

I need to open a store.

when ive taken l glutamine my recovery was much better, and i was playing football (soccer hate that word) 6-9 hours a week on top of my weight training 3 times a week and still able to make gains after several years of training experience. now im not suggesting that glutamine made me stronger etc but that my recovery was much better so that i could still train to the max on my upper body and not be too sore to play. the placebo effect undoubtly played a part, but its hard for me to imagine that it was ALL phychological.

I have and think people overdo their protein intake.
