layne what sort of weights do you lift? i mean in terms of maxes just getting a sort of idea, so i can see how much work is left for me to do..
also have you ever competed on a show v derek the beast, if so did you win?
also do you consider yourself a better bodybuilder? both of you are pretty big naturals.

well even if you can lift the same as someone doesn't mean you'll have their physique. Hell I lift more than a lot of the top natural pros, but i'm no where near their level of physiques.

My personal bests...

flat dumbbell presses: 150s X 8
Squats: 455 X 3, 315 X20
Front squats: 350 X 5
deadlifts: 535 X 5
stiff legged deadlifts: 475 X 3
seated dumbbell presses: 110s X 8

-Layne

Hey Layne, I was wondering if you could possibly give me some pointers for contest prep. I'm competing this May and June in the NPC. When should I start my cut diet, because in the past i've either started out to soon or to late. thanks bud.

Wow Layne, those are some insane numbers you're pushing up. How long did it take you to reach that level of strength, and is it maintained throughout the year? Or do you train lighter for certain periods?

i wouldn't call them insane but thank you. I lose strength when i get really really lean but i maintain this & improve provided i am healthy.
I've been lifting for 10 years, been bodybuilding for 6 so that's how long i gues
