ok bottom line is glutamine (of any variety, branch, type, shape, form or whatever else) is useless as human tits on a bull...it took almost 3 threads to make that known

not to jump on the glutamine bandwagon but, i was flipping through IRONMAN magizine at B&N and there was a huge article about the most recent studies done on glutamine. apperently according to IRONMAN glutamine is a very valuble supplement.

does anyone know if this is legit?

sorry i dont have the link

IRONMAN was the same magazine that made me think about how good a fat burner green tea is and i made a thread on it in the nutritional section. considering alot of "fat burning" suppliments and other suppliments all seem to contain extracts of green tea i would beleived it was legit too.
however, also considering the feedback i got from that thread..i dunno im pretty doubtfull now tho the health benefits from drinking tea alone should not be doubted i rekon.

yeah i was doubting the creditability of IRONMAN. i do know that green tea can AIDE in fat burning but thats a whole nother thread.

it could be that IRONMAN is blowing things out of proportion or it could be that that is the last results of the most up to date study. anyone have any idea?

this was taken from Lowest Prices Highest Quality Whey Protein and Nutrition Supplements :

Glutamine has become more prominent as new studies reveal its unique contribution to protein synthesis (muscle growth), anti-catabolic (prevents muscle tissue breakdown)functions and growth hormone elevating effects.
A study on glutamine revealed that a single 2 gram oral dose of glutamine elevated circulating growth hormone levels by over 430%!

is there any validity to this?

If theres a non sponsored peer review study that we can read that documents what the article says, there may be some validity. No peer review study = no validity.
