Question regarding BCAAs

I've read a few places (along w/ layne saying it here) that high doses of BCAAs (30g is what I've seen a few places) are good at many things, one being increasing strength and getting an overall better workout.

I have yet to take BCAAs other then the small amounts in ON Whey Protein. I was just curious, I have ordered some, so would it be best to split the 30g up into 3 different times. PWO, During WO, and Post WO? 10g each?

Also so I dont have to make another thread about it, anyone have any ideas on how to even out the chest other then just dumbbells, I've been doing laynes workout and still teh chest is uneven and it bothers the hell out of me... no matter what i try it never seems to even out.

For the chest thing, check your triceps. Most people have one dominate side, make sure you're isolating the chest and your strong sides tricep isn't pushing the bulk of the weight.

Ya I do think one of my triceps is stronger, that is why I only use dumbbells or machines and have been skipping the barebells. I'll give it a few more months and see if it gets better.. people tell me its not as bad as I make it out to be but I notice it and it bugs the hell out of me.

also: layne I know I've read an article you wrote about during WO shakes. Well I was curious do you also have a PWO shake followed by your DWO or is it one in the same?

would the 20g of post workout BCAAs just be added to the DWO shake if thats all you drink?

i really think you are splitting hairs. You could do 20g bcaa DWO then having whey protein PWO

ok.

Sorry if this is gonna sound a little trivial but you simply want a insulin spike w/ something along the lines of dextrose DWO or PWO not both correct? So do the DWO w/ BCAAs 20g dextrose30-50g protein 20-30g then post workout before the PWO meal have some more whey?

I'm sorry if this has been covered I just want to make sure I have it right.

you don't need the protein in workout, just put it post workout

Alright promise this is last question on this topic just to make sure I have it right!

DWO:

20g BCAAs
35-45g Dextrose

PWO:

20-30g Whey Protein

Then carb meal about 1 hr after like usual.

i would have 30g dextrose during workout, then 30g with your post workout shake, other than that... solid
