Others dont feel so, but I feel my chest is lagging (and also uneven).

Current I train in a 4 day split

Chest/Bis/Calves
Back/Tris/Calves
Shoulders/Corework/Calves
Legs

Now I could do a little chest work on Shoulder days and Leg days or how should I do this?

I feel it is lagging and IMO the best way to bring it up would be more frequency. I feel like im not uneven in my form but it is still uneven, very frustrating.

I've seen best gains from hitting them with more frequency. Plus hitting them more times a week you can cut the volume down per day a little and just focus on a few sets with high reps with more frequency.

Any tips on lagging chest?

My arms, legs, back everything IMO is very well defined/good musclar development. I have a DECENT chest but unlike others I am very hard on myself and it is far from perfect IMO. I need it to be fuller in the center. I hit heavy dumbbells, do flyes etc, only thing I can think of to bring it up is more frequency.

Any advice guys? layne?

maybe just do a few sets of upper and lower cable crossovers at the end of every workout? if frequency works well for your calves then whos to say it wont work for the chest? give it a try for a few weeks.

actually due to the construction of the calf muscle it makes it extremely difficult to inflict damage to it. I think 2x/week should be a minimum for calves.

as for chest... working it multiple times per week helps and just hammering away with dumbbells and really focusing on a FULL range of motion to get a big time stretch. try this routine Bodybuilding.com - Layne Norton - Pounding The Pecs!

made all the difference in the world for me

I'll def. give that a try for 12 weeks Layne. I'll keep my regular chest day in my split the same as what I usually do, and then throw this in at the end of leg days since I am not working any muscle on that day other then legs. 8 sets of Chest shouldn't keep me in the gym too much longer.

for some reason, i've found my chest grows best when doing higher reps. I do 5 sets of 20 reps and I've seen alot of growth in the past few months doing this than doing anything else. Different strokes for different folks.

i think do the routine I cited 1x per week, then do another chest workout later that week focussing on one pressing movement for a lower reps (4-6) and really focusing on moving alot of weight for 3-5 sets, then 2 sets of crossovers for 8-10 reps

Hit it on leg days with super sets benche and flys 3 sets 30 sec rest this is a killer
finish off with dips...dont over dute the volume as you are hitting it more freguent
concentrate in main working sets 2-3 aster a good worm up

Ok so I'll replace the routine you suggested with my current one.

So when you say this, would something like this for later in the week?

Flat dumbell Press- 3-5 sets 4-6 reps
Cable Crossovers- 2x8-10

I would be doing this after my shoulder workout more than likely. Or I could go in the afternoon before I do shoulders later at night.
