bodybuilding.com accufitness 3 point calipers, quick and simple, just add 3-4% to the reading for a more accurate measurement.

no good, don't give enough of an accurate reading, im sure most others will agree, stick with calipers, cheaper and as close to accurate as you can get

its a lot closer than the handheld, no-one has an idea of the margin of error on those, but a majority will agree that 3 point calipers readings only need to have 3-4% added for an accurate bodyfat measurement, and don't forget that nothing measures progress like the mirror and photos

If you're doing at home progression, use a digital caliper (doesn't matter the brand). It's the cheapest way to do it. Plus, like aefx said, mirrors and photos will aid in tracking your progess. Just do some independent research and find out what should be showing at given body fat levels and compare the results to your photos and mirror projections...kept with congruence with your caliper results. This is probably the most reliable method for self-progessive tracking.

they are closer than a handheld and while they might not get the absolute amount right, they still measure change accurately

OK, thanks a lot for the help guys. I just bought the Accufitness Accu-Measure 3000 calipers. They look alright, I wish they were a little more precise, but this is definitely better than nothing. I took a look at the instructions at their website. Here is what they give for instructions:

http://www.accufitness.com/products/am3k_ideal.pdf

And here is a chart:

http://www.accufitness.com/products/am3k_chart.pdf

How does this info look?
