When I go on a holiday or a vacation.. its usually only for about a week and I relax and don't worry about training.

I eat every 2-4 hours (instead of the usualy 2-3) and just make sure its as clean as possible.

When your on vacation enjoy it, don't stress everything so much because you can't do your body any harm in like a week. When you get back you'll train better anyways due to the rest.

define long rest.

Usually every few months I take 1 week off from the gym to repair tiny tears and get my motivation back up if its low. It's healthy and nessescary to take atleast a week break every 8-12weeks.

Also from what i've read 1-2 weeks off from the gym with a normal diet you will not lose muscle mass, after the 3rd week of not training it begins to go down.

Layne probably has more info on the matter but if the break isn't a month or more I'd think you'll be fine, a little strength loss won't hurt you because you'll come back more motivated.

I don't train at all on vacation, I usually go away and would rather relax then worry about finding a gym.

I agree i usually take a week off after 3-4months solid training. I feel it def gives my body a chance to heal for another 3-4 months of training. I would recommned just enjoy your 2week vaction and come back and tear junk up.

Vacation means I usually workout at least once and then fall off. The rest of the vacation is left to over induging in food and drink.
