Hey guys,

I really like to go out with friends especially on weekends. A lot of times I'm out late and bring food with me. I was actually reading one of Layne's articles in which he suggested having a cooler in your car or wearing baggy pants and bringing food with you. I think this is a great solution. I had actually been doing this in college and boy would I get some weird looks when everybody was drinking at a party and I would pull out a small tupperware container from my pocket full of cottage cheese. LOL.

My only problem is that on Friday morning I wake up at 6:00AM. To stay up late on a Friday night until say 3-4AM (Saturday morning) must be pretty bad as far as giving my body rest. I feel like I've got the nutrition covered, but don't know if it's all that good to stay up so late. Do most of you guys take naps during the day if you know you're going out? Also, will you change your diet to eat more carbs later in the day to give yourself energy for staying up so late?

Thanks!

i don't stay out late, but a nap certainly would not hurt you. it is very hard for me to take a nap during the day I usually have to take a downer to go to sleep.(i rarely take naps as it is) I know the feeling about the looks, but if you have love for something you will do everything to reach your goals. I might be wrong, but 1 late night might shock your system some, i would not change my carb consumption as this might help you to burn some fat off while being active for a longer period.

i think staying out late is alright so long as you get enough sleep most other nights of the week. obviously the less you stay out the better, but you need to make bodybuilding part of your life... not let it consume your life. In the end you will be a better bodybuilder for it.
