The point I'm making is I find the candid shots of pros in the magazines as inspiring as the flexed shots and as most people see themselves relaxed 99% of the time it's easier to compare.
The other point is that most natural bodybuilders look quite solid when standing around relaxed but can look on the stringy side when flexed which is why I like natural poses more, I find it easier to encourage younger guys to make an effort to stay natural when they see that a natural pro is actually quite huge when compared to a normal joe on the street - something that isn't as apparent when they're flexing.
But then hey what would I know, I'm only old enough to be the dad of most of the posters on here and have been lifting for more than 25 yrs.
I wasn't knocking any of your pictures Layne (reread my original post if you think I was having a go at you) just asking if you had any more candid shots like the one of you and your lady on the beach.
The other point and one that you'd agree with Layne is that 90% of the guys and girls who frequent bodybuilding boards will never step onto a stage and will never "flex" their muscles anywhere other than in their mirror at home so seeing a well built body unflexed is just as inspiring to them as a flexed body.
Anyway, that's all I have to say on this - well done on all your hard work and the changes that you've achieved - not a small feat by any stretch of the imagination and one that you can be justifiably proud of. |
