I've decided to try a do a show - what the hell! And right now my big problem is of course I have left the decision to the last minute and I have only 12 weeks to get ready. Oh and I'm 233lbs! Damn it all.

Despite the time crunch I think I'm gonna try anyway, worst case scenario sees me losing some fat and getting my abs back.

I'm thinking that I will be doing a spit cardio day, that being 30 minutes treadmill in the morning - before breakfast, and another 30 treadmill after my workout. I'll be cycling the after workout cardio with HIIT on the bike every second day as well.

Anyone have an opinion on splitting cardio over the day?

perform two different types of cardio, treadmills great, perform it on an incline...nice and easy in the morning...hit at night. stair steppers are great to define the calves as well as burn some cals...

Yeah there's no problem with splitting up your cardo routine, I do it alot, I have to find time and if it means to split it up, do one in the morning and one in the evening, then that's what I do.. Normally my night cardo is pushing a single stroller and helping my son ride his bike up the nasty hills in my neighborhood.

Most importantly is have a strict diet, without having your diet in check your cardo is at a loss bro.. I'm currently cutting so if you want some idea's pm me and I will share them with you.. Always willing to help out ANYONE..

Happy Cutting,,heheheh,, ( that means I hate to cut..)

Thanks guys.

It's been an exciting couple of days, just getting my ass in gear. There is a moment where you have to realize that "GOD! I'm actually serious about this" It's been a while for me, and after so long I forget what it is like to cut and actually look like a BB, but I'm freaking out thinking about it.

I know that feeling. It happens during football when I lose my gut.

Anybody have thoughts on whether or not there is a danger of the morning cardio attacking the muscle? Not sure if I will add a protein shake prior to the morning session or not.

The debate is that because your stomach is empty, then the cardio may have an affect on muscle mass. However, right now I think I have enough fat stores that my muscle is safe for a while.

morning empty stomach cardio attacks are good, but honestly you do need to eat something before hand, just because doing any type of wo on an empty stomach, after 8 hrs of sleep your metabolism needs to get rebooted...always start your day off with something in your stomach, big or small you need something...because you actually will burn more fat with your metabolism working, than empty stomach cardio sessions...building muscle mass you need the nutrients in 6-8 meals a day...starting off with that first one at the beginning of the day
