I remember reading about these couple of 'sueing stories' - whether thay are true or not I don't know.
A man broke into a guy's house, robbed it and when he went to get away went though the garage. When he tried to open the garage door he couldn't because it was electric, when he went to go back through the house, the door from the garage had locked behind him so he was stuck in the garage. The owner was on holiday and didn't return for another 4 days where he found the burglar in his garage.
The burglar sued the owner of the house for physical and mental anguish as he had to survive on the cans of coke in the garage and nothing else - and he won the lawsuit!!!!
WTF is that about!
This one though is proceless:
An elderly woman saved up and bought a Winnebago, and on her maiden voyage whilst driving along the freeway at 70 mph, she pressed the cruie control button - and then went in the back to make herself a ham sandwich! She though cruise control meant it would drive itself - needless to say the mobile home careered across the road, over the central reservation and into a wall. She won thousands of dollars because "the instruction book didn't tell her she couldn't do it".
Absolutely ridiculous!
