burning cd problems

hey

ok i have this dvd that was downloaded on my friends comp and i want the movies cuz its a nice one. but the eitre dvd is split already in 5 and i want to burn that on my cd however, when i put the cd in to burn it, it says that i am 322MB short so it would not copy on the cd. what can do, plz help. i was thinking that i can take each of the files and split in half then burn it but the problem is that i dunno how i can do that and dont have any program/software that can do that. can u get a software to split files from the net?
plz help thanks!

are the five files, .vob files?

if not, what type are they?

yes they are .VOB files.

well, if the dvd is about 4GB, you'd six Cd-R's. I'm guessing you have a dvd burner on your computer?

If not, the smartest thing to do, is convert the dvd on your friends computer to AVI or Mpeg. You can do that by using a DVD Ripping program like this one:

but if still wanna try to split the Vob files, heres a program:

no my friend dosent have a dvd burner....only a cd burner. we tried to but a blank dvd which had 4.7GB but it kept saying plz insert disk and the disk was in there.
