Switching a JPEG to a GIF?

Is there any way of doing this without having the pictures quality looking like ass? I've only tried doing it in paint and they all have not turned out well.

Do you have Photoshop?
Open the .jpg file in this program and save it as "optimized as" then you'll have a .gif image.
But what the quality would be I don't know I only save .jpg as .jpg and images with an animation as a .gif.

Or give me the file through PM and I'll change it for you
