Going to the dermatologist would be best. When I was younger I used something called Differin and it worked really well for me.
The reason I say go the dermatologist is that...when I was younger I tried to take really good care of my skin. I would wash it all the time with over the counter products, almost 100% of these products(Neutrogena face wash, clearasil etc.) contain salicylic acid. When I went to the dermatologist I found out that #1 I was washing my face too much and #2 I was allergic to salicylic acid(apparently a common allergy which can make your skin look much worse).
My dermatologist also told me that scrubbing your skin with scrubbies, pads, etc. is not that good for your skin.
Now, I find regular Neutrogena Glycerin
soap to work the best for me. :) Good luck, being a teenager kinda sucks but Itll get better fast.
