For Windows XP users using a pirated copy

If you haven't ran Windows Update in awhile, you probably have not downloaded the new "Windows Genuine Advantage" tool. Windows is now making people download the tool that runs in Internet Explorer everytime you try to download Windows Updates. They did it to try to curb the use of pirated copies of XP.

Well, after you download the new tool, just go to Internet Explorers tools > manage add-ons > then disable Windows Genuine Advantage validation tool.


And now your pirated copy will still be able to get updates.

btw, I did it and it works.

although there are no new Windows Updates currently

everytime i do a windows update, i lose a ton of hard drive space and my computer runs slower
